Before I met Ayao Ide who translated the novel Glass Bead Game into Japanese, when I was electrical engineering student, privately I studied Sigmund Freud, Friedrich Nietzsche, and Greek philosophy. I had read almost all Hesse\u2019s books except the Glass Bead Game, because it was out of print in Japan. I received the original German edition and the translated edition from Ayao Ide in 1988 after I graduated the institute of technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
